YSL Creme de Blush in #9 Baby Doll review and swatches.

"What it is: A soft cream-to-powder blush.

What it does:

This blush has an amazing velvety-soft texture that offers a luminous, radiant, and healthy look. The cream-to-powder formulation feels like silk, and makes an excellent touch-up tool throughout the day.

I'm not the biggest blush fan out there, as I only own 3 blush until a few days ago. I am very picky on my blushes and they really have to have something special to end up in my stash. Recently, I welcomed 2 new blusher in my collection: BeneFit Dandelion (to be reviewed soon) and my new favorite: YSL's cream blush in #9 Baby Doll (LE Spring 2013).

Before, I wasn't interested in cream blushes because I always thought that it was a hassle to work with and the messy/dirty look in the pan just turned me off (*cough* MAC cream blushes testers *cough*). I started to look into it when I wanted something that I could apply quickly and that would be long lasting. My powder blushers would to vanish by mid-day.

I was drawn toward this blush mainly because of it's color. I wanted a light pink one so it would appear natural (when I blush, my cheeks turns pink lol). The lady at the counter asked me to try out the product so I can feel the texture of it. I was so surprised at how light it felt and it blends out powdery. No streaking, no shine and no patches of colors here and there. It blends out very well. I was immediately sold. The cream blush is pigmented (for my fair/light skin) so I recommend you use a light hand first and then layer it. This would be suitable for people for darker skin too, but you'll have to use a heavier hand. I use my fingers to dot the blush  on the apple of my cheeks and going upward along my cheek bone and blend. If I want a little more color, I just apply a little more on the apple of my cheeks and voila! This cream to powder blush is very easy to use and mistake proof (unless you use it heavily!). It brightens up my complexion and lasts about 8 hours on me. It didn't break me out or cause any irritation.

Please note that my face is lighter than my hand

This color is from their Spring 2013 collection and it's limited edition. I recommend you check it out before it's gone!

What's your favorite blush? Please share! :)
See you guys soon!
Love,
