Clinique's pore minimizer instant perfector review

Good evening world! (it's 10:01pm right here) hehehe. As you can see I changed the layout of my blog! I had a lot of comments saying that my blog wasn't "pink" enough. At first, I wanted to go with a baby pink but then I thought that a lot of people use this so I went for the hot pink. :D

Okay moving on to the review. I was searching for a primer that would mattify my t-zone for the day (well at least 8hours) so I wouldn't have to blot during the day or apply powder, especially in summer. So I came accross Clinique's pore minimizer instant perfectorrr! What it claims :"instantly refines the look of pores with a natural-looking, long-lasting matte finish. De-shines. Resists sweat, humidity too. Wear alone, under or over makeup for a flawless look. Invisible coverage."(Information from Sephora.com)

Now, I have combo-oily skin in warmer weather. My t-zone gets very oily and I have some enlarged pores too but they are not THAT big but you can notice them when my t-zone get oily.

This product has two shades: invisible light and invinsible deep and it comes in a 15mL squeeze tube.. I picked up the light one but it turns invisible when you apply it. I find that it has the same texture as the Smashbox primer (if you ever tried it) but lighter. From my experience, it did minimized my pores (no it doesn't make them disappear sorry! =P) by filling them, but I found that my t-zone was a bit shiny after 3 - 4 hours. I dusted a bit of powder and the thing was settled. I only apply it on the zones why I tend to get oily and a tiny bit is enough to cover my t-zone and the top of my cheek bones.
This is approximately the amount that I use. It's smaller than a pea size. =] I didn't took a picture when it's spreaded out because it's invisible so it's kind of useless since we don't see anything lol.

What I liked about this product:
  • Comes in a squeeze tube and it fits perfectly on a purse
  • Fills in my pores decently
  • Affordable, it's only 15mL but it does last long!
What I don't like:
  • Silicone feeling. Doesn't gives me smooth skin, it's more "silicone smooth" (I don't know if you understand lol)
  • T-zone got oily after a few hours :(
My rating:
Packaging: 5/5 Small, easy for storage and squeeze tube
Effectiveness: 4.7/5 the shine returns but after 3-4 hours which I find pretty decent.
Price: 4/5 Affordable but 15ml... Oily skinned people will find this expensive for the amount they get!
Scent: 5/5 No fragrance
Formula: 4.8/5 Absorbs quickly, you don't have to wait until it dries up or something like that
Will I repurchase? No.. I'm better off at dusting powder and blotting my face lol

  1. Agree with your review! This product has instant results, but then leaves an oily mess on my t-zone haha~ I do like how it smoothes everything out, but not a good value. ;)

  2. I love Clinique! But admittedly, I am a little lazy with all the steps to putting stuff (besides sunscreen) This would be great before a night out or maybe after sunscreen? Lol.

BTW, you won Nikki's giveaway so you should respond soon so you can claim your prize. Congrats hun!

@Irene: Me too I'm lazy when it comes to putting a bunch of stuff on me face lolol!! But I have to find something that control my oilyness cuz I don't want to look like a grease ball during work :( and thank you for letting me know that I won! I'm super excited :D
