Naruko Total Defense Night Repairing Dew and Moisturizing Night Repair review

Hi guys! So here I am with more Naruko products review :)

What it is: " Product Detail: NARUKO Narcissus Total Defense Night Repairing Dew is a powerful, hydrating night-time toner that works to repair and moisturize damaged skin. The toner is formulated with highly potent ingredients, such as snow fungus extract, Hyaluronic acid polysaccharides, Narcissus bulb extract, and the exclusively patented Phytoferulin® complex. These ingredients work well to moisturize, repair, nourish, and protect the skin. The watery-gel consistency of the toner allows it to penetrate instantly deep into the skin. As a result, the skin receives nutrients faster and the following skincare products absorb better.

This gentle, ecofriendly product is made without parabens, preservatives, artificial ingredients or coloring. The product is cruelty free and is not tested on animals.

Best For: All skin types." (Source: Naruko.us)

My thoughts:
When I tried this product for the first time, I was very surprised because it's was a texture that I was not used to. The last time that I used something similar, it turned out to be a pretty bad experience for me (see regrets of 2011). I was very worried that it would turn out like the similar product that I tried, but to my relief, it was a completely different experience. The texture is like a viscous liquid, very watery gel as described. It absorbs into the skin like a dream and doesn't leave a sticky film/feeling behind. It's recommended to use like a regular toner - pouring into a cotton pad and swipe it on your skin - but I like to simply pour a little bit into my palms, massage into my skin and pat it so it gets fully absorbed. Despite it's watery gel texture, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. You don't need a lot of it, about a dollar size is enough. If ever you put too much, it will leave a slight dewiness and you will notice the next product balling up. At this point, I can feel that my skin is a lot more supple and hydrated.

What it is : "Product Detail: NARUKO Narcissus Total Defense Moisturizing Night Repair a nightly milky lotion made with micro-jet protection technology which the product the ability to split into a micro-emulsion texture of molecules that penetrates the skin deeply quickly and easily. Formulated with high quality moisturizing ingredients that provide long-lasting hydration and moisture balance maintenance, the Moisturizing Night Repair binds moisture and repairs daytime damage in a protective layer on the skin. Ingredients such as essential oils relax, repair and reviatize the skin during sleep.

My thoughts: The consistency of this item is a little bit thicker and meant to be used after the previous product. It's a milky lotion that absorbs as well as its companion and gives a extra boost of moisture. Even though it's a little thicker, it doesn't leave you a shiny and sticky feel. The way I use this is the same method as the other one and both products complement each other very well. I use a dollar size of products for this one too. Personally, I wouldn't use this alone because it doesn't seem to have the same advantage as using it with the Night repairing dew. I feel that when used alone, it doesn't absorb into the skin and moisturizes it as well.

After testing it for a whole month (along with the serum + night gelly) as my night routine, I am pleased to see that my overall complexion is more even, balanced and hydrated. I still have some redness around my nose, but not as apparent as before. I noticed that my skin is a lot less sensitive too - less redness on my cheeks, no eczema flares on my cheek bones and no tight skin when the freezing wind hits my face. Despite the great result, after a few weeks, the temperature dropped to the -20's degree outside so the heat inside the house/school/workplace has to be increased (so we don't freaking die from hypothermia). Such drastic change of temperature dried out my skin really bad, especially at night because the heat makes the air very dry (and I don't have a humidifier). I needed something that hydrates even more, but I'll definitely return to these babies when it gets warmer ^_^.

To sum up:
Packaging: 4/5 Can't really control the amount you pour out
Product: 4.5/5 Would be more suitable for summer
Price: 55$ for both on iMokoko.com
Would I repurchase?   I'm still debating.. They are not quiet accessible where I live and I would have to always order them online if ever I run out.. =/

Have a wonderful week!
