first FOTD: Purple for spring! :D + Kat Von D's memento mori palette quick review

Hi! It's me again! xD I just wanted to share with you guy my FOTD. Well, actually it's more eyes of the the day. Hahaha :D It's a simple eye look that I made using True & Solitude from Kat Von D's memento mori palette & the violet shade from Stila's shadow trio in afterhours. The color shows more in real life than in the pictures.

 

I started by applying Urban Decay primer potion & True cream shadow from Kat Von D palette (the blue one)over it. After, I apply solitude, a purple shade on my lid and finish off with the violet shade in Stila's afterhour on the outer corner. Blend, blend, blend, tightline with MUFE 0L, eyeline upper lid with Sephora brand retractable waterproof eyeliner in black. I applied Blinc mascara and I'm ready to go! :D I only wear makeup & my lenses when I go to work. During the week, I'm a total nerd 8-D  

Now as I promised, here a quick review on Kat Von D's true romance memento mori eyeshadow palette. I didn't make any swatches, I'm sorry about that, but you can see them on many other blogs. I bought it a few weeks ago at Sephora for 46$CAN. It comes in 8 various shade: True (cream shadow), Solitude, Meditation, Agatha Pink, Sugar Skull, Peggy, Hard Luck, and Tijuana. They are very easy to work with and I love the silky texture of it. I didn't have problems with fall outs while applying it and it doesn't irritate my eyes. :) However, I think it would have been perfect if they were a tiny bit more pigmentation. Overall: 4.8/5 =D
